Brianza Plastica S.p.A. was founded in 1962 to produce translucent laminates in fibreglass for commercial and industrial applications.
Over the years, the production was expanded with sites in Italy and Europe, introducing new products able to meet the most varied roofing needs.
In the eighties, the company also entered into the field of thermal insulation for roofs and walls in the residential and industrial sectors. The Isotec® system was born in 1984, an innovative thermal insulating under-tile panel in polyurethane. Over the years, the company continued in the production and constant research and implementation of fibreglass products, expanding its range and finishes to include applications in a variety of different fields such as agriculture, breeding, industrial applications, as well as motor vehicles (trucks, buses) and recreational vehicles (campers and caravans).
The production site of Ferrandina was opened in 2003 to increase and enhance the production of ISOTEC thermal insulation panels in polyurethane and Elyfoam and Xroof polystyrene panels.
The purchase of two production sites in Rovigo and Ostellato for producing Elycold® laminates with discontinuous cold-lamination procedures – in 2006 and 2008 respectively – and the opening in 2009 of a new production line in Carate Brianza dedicated to Elyplan® continuous hot-lamination products, has now made Brianza Plastica one of the most important players in the global market of fibreglass laminates, as well as an important reference point for the building industry, with an extremely flexible production capacity able to meet the various needs of the market.
The new logistics-sales headquarters of Brianza USA Corporation in Elkhart, Indiana was opened in 2014 to serve the US market and to strengthen its commercial presence in the territory.
The production of flat fibreglass laminates was further enhanced in the summer of 2016 with the opening of a new production site in Rovigo and a new continuous production line in Carate Brianza.
At the beginning of 2019, the new chemical laboratory was inaugurated, almost tripling the previous surface area and significantly improving the equipment used to carry out most of the chemical-physical tests on both the raw materials and on the finished products. The new facility is equipped with the most advanced instruments to support the production processes of the insulation panels and composite laminates.
